WHAT IS CROSSFIT
CrossFit is a constantly varied, highly intensive functional training with the aim of developing basic conditioning and motor skills. This type of functional fitness uses individual elements from sports such as Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, athletics, rowing and biking. The aim of CrossFit is to break the monotonius of classical training with the development of the most important body abilities:
- Cardiovular and respiratory endurance
- General endurance and agility
- Power and speed
- Flexibility and coordination
CrossFit is fun and unpredictable. If you have never played sports then it is a physical challenge and you will feel like a top athlete very soon. If you are a former athlete, you will enjoy it especially because it is challenging like your former training sessions. The CrossFit community in which you train is always positive and supportive, resulting in shifting of common and personal boundaries. CrossFit connects people through encouraging competitive spirit in a society that feels threatened by competitiveness. It is a challenge resulting with an increase in self-esteem in people who practice this sport by turning them into elitists.
