WHY SHOULD I TRAIN IN A LICENCED CROSSFIT CENTER?
The official CrossFit affiliate like CrossFit Maksimir, runs safe and programmed training protocols. Since CrossFit combines training techniques from various sports disciplines such as powerlifting, weightlifting and gymnastics, the adoption of a proper movement is the necessity, not an option.
In addition to the expertise of our coaches, training with us will make you feel you belong to something much greater, that you are part of a community that continually encourages you to progress, shares the same interests and encourages you when things seem hard, while supporting you to ultimately achieve the results you could only dream of.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN CROSSFIT?
The answer to this question is very individual, but speaking in general, it is recommended to train for three days in a row with one day of rest. More simply, try to train no less than two days in a row and no more than three days in a row. But some athletes will be more prone to train five days in a row with free weekends. Certainly, the training 4-5 times a week is recommended for maximum effect.
WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER DONE ANY SPORTS BEFOREHAND?
Even though CrossFit is a challenge even for people who are extremely fit, the program has been developed in a way that any exercise can be scaled and adapted to each individual, regardless of previous experience. The load and intensity are scaled so that the stimuli on the organism always remains the same.
WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A HEALTHY DIET IN CROSSFIT?
CrossFit supports the so-called “Zone“ diet consisting of 30% protein, 30% fat and 40% carbohydrates. The Zone diet is close to the “Paleo“ diet, but does not exclude any food and gives preference to foods of high nutritional value. With this diet you will be even better and faster, visible training results and not to mention the manifold benefits for your overall health. CrossFit Maksimir takes care of all its athletes through advice on proper nutrition, and for those who are particularly interested we offer the possibility of making an individual diet plan with individual monitoring of the results of its implementation.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CROSSFIT AND ORDINARY GYM?
CrossFit provides a sense of community and teamwork, during training session the coach is constantly present while monitoring correct exercising techniques and the progress of each member through measurable results, develops competiveness in athletes who, with the additional support of the CrossFit community, have faster and better results with no exception.
The body is trained as one entity, as opposed to the isolation of individual muscle groups which is characteristic for classical bodybuilding. Trainings are challenging and interesting and the physical appearance of people who are engaged in this sport is excellent and above average.
WILL I BECOME TOO BULKY WHILE TRAINING CROSSFIT?
This is a very common question of women and girls who choose to try CrossFit. These types of training build exceptional muscular stamina and a general fitness level – after only a few months of training your body is ready for any physical challenge. Exercising with load, especially weightlifting that is an integral part of CrossFit, improves the neuroendocrine response in your body and adequately stimulates the muscles for a beautiful and shaped body. Women and girls will look strong and healthy while keeping the desired femininity.
